Sell Your Home in Plano, Texas

Updated September 2026 by Sherien Joyner, Carrollton REALTOR®, GRI

If you are selling in Plano, you need comps from your zip — 75074 is not 75093 — and from your street. Not seven reasons to list today.

I live in Carrollton and list in Plano. The first step is a pricing range from nearby sold homes, then a plan for photos, showings, and net proceeds.

What Plano sellers should know in 2026

Plano buyers pay for easy access to the Tollway and the big employers along it. They compare you to the same zip, not to a citywide average.

Citywide closings have often landed in the high $400,000s to mid $500,000s. 75074 is often the more attainable east-Plano band. 75024 / 75093 run higher. A west-Plano list price on an east-Plano house will sit.

We price from:

  • the last 3–6 closed sales on streets like yours
  • zip (75023, 75024, 75025, 75074, 75075, 75093)
  • condition: roof, HVAC, foundation, kitchen/baths

Bring the address. I will tell you a range and what would change it.

Plano is not one listing

East Plano (75074)

This is often the more affordable part of Plano. Updates and the yard usually decide the price.

Central Plano (75023 / 75075)

Prices vary a lot here, even inside the same zip. I compare your home to nearby streets, not to the whole zip.

West Plano (75024 / 75093)

Prices run higher in west Plano. I confirm the city limits before we set a price.

How I list a Plano home

  • Walkthrough and comps
  • Prep that pays
  • Launch with photos and copy written for this zip
  • Showings and offers
  • Contract to close

What to fix before we list

Usually worth it: curb, leaks, dead HVAC, unsafe items, paint if the house is dark, receipts for roof or HVAC age.

Often not worth it: a luxury kitchen you will not recoup in 60 days, adding a pool, over-improving past the comps.

Frequently asked questions

How much is my Plano home worth?

Online estimates miss your zip and condition. Use the valuation on my sell page, then I will review nearby sales with you.

How long does it take to sell?

Well-priced, ready homes can still move in a few weeks. High prices and deferred maintenance take longer.

Does the zip change my list price?

Yes. 75074 and 75093 do not share one buyer pool.

Do I have to remodel first?

Not always.

Can you list if I live out of town?

Yes.

What will I net?

I estimate net proceeds when we price the house. List price is not take-home.
