Welcome to the Irving Texas Community! I’d like to share with you some of the many amazing things that make Irving a wonderful place to live. 

I’ve lived in Irving 13 years of my life and still find myself there every week. 

From the delicious food to the vibrant culture, there’s something for everyone in Irving. Here are some of my favorite community highlights:

Vibrant Arts & Culture:

Voted to have one of the most diverse zip codes in the Nation, Irving’s mix of cultures reflects on its art and community culture as well. Irving is full of amazing art venues and events. 

Visitors and locals alike can enjoy performances at the Irving Arts Center, where they offer classes, workshops, and three galleries. 

The Irving Symphony Orchestra puts on six concerts every year at the Irving Arts Center and the MacArthur High School Auditorium. 

The Mustangs of Las Colinas Sculpture is another popular attraction, featuring nine mustangs in a larger-than-life bronze sculpture, located in Williams Square.

Location:

Located in Dallas county, The Irving Texas Community is centrally located between the major cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. Close to DFW Airport, it is great for traveling business people, and is also adjacent to several more major cities that hold many job locations.

 Easy access to major highways that run through it like I-35, State Highway 114, George Bush Turnpike (State Highway 161) or State Highway 183 make it easy to commute to many locations and access all the attractions and amenities neighboring cities have to offer as well. 

The city is served by the DART system. Whether you live in Valley Ranch (northern part), Las Colinas (middle) or Old Irving, getting around DFW is not a problem when living in Irving, Texas.

Job Opportunities:

For many years now, Irving has been a magnet for large big name companies like Nokia, Lucid Technologies, Accenture, Caterpillar, ExxonMobil and McKesson. In turn, it is an active job market for many already here or relocating to Texas.

Delicious Dining:

The Irving Texas Community has a wide variety of amazing restaurants and eateries. From Mexican to Italian to Indian cuisines, there’s something for everyone. 

Some of the city’s most popular restaurants include La Villita, a Mexican restaurant with an extensive menu of traditional dishes, and Bruno’s Ristorante, a quaint Italian eatery on the canal in Valley Ranch. From high-quality chains to local mom and pop establishments, there is a lot of culinary talent in Irving.

Housing:

The adage of “Location. Location. Location” still rings true today. Homes in the Irving Texas Communty, while still in line with other parts of the metroplex, are quite in demand.

Parks & Outdoor Recreation:

Irving has plenty of parks, trails, and outdoor recreation areas for residents to enjoy. 

The city is home to more than 20 parks, including Lively Pointe Skate Park, which offers skateboarding and BMX facilities, and Campion Trail, a 17-mile trail running through the city and featuring both natural and urban views. 

Irving is also home to the Mandalay Canal Walk, a scenic trail along the banks of the Mandalay Canal. Kayaking, paddle boarding and other water sports can be enjoyed in the canal. 

Golf Courses:

Irving is home to several golf courses, including the Las Colinas Country Club, the Hackberry Creek Country Club, and the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas. 

The Las Colinas Country Club is an 18-hole championship golf course that offers breathtaking views of the city. The Hackberry Creek Country Club is a private club with a variety of amenities, including a 27-hole championship golf course. 

The Four Seasons Resort golf course has hosted the Byron Nelson Tour for many years.

Educational Opportunities:

The Irving Texas Community is home to three school districts: Irving ISD, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, and Coppell ISD. Several charters and private educational institutions are also available to families.

Additionally, several higher educational institutions, such as the University of Dallas, and North Lake College. The University of Dallas is a prestigious private university, while North Lake College is a popular two-year community college.
