I live in Carrollton. Families put Allen on the list for Allen ISD and a single-city feel between Plano and McKinney. They take it off when 75013 prices like west Plano and they still wanted a Carrollton payment.
Allen is a strong fit if AISD and that mid-Collin location are the purchase. It is a weaker fit if you need DART.

- Where: Collin County, between Plano and McKinney, on US 75
- Zips: 75002 (often the more attainable band) and 75013 (usually higher)
- Schools: Mostly Allen ISD. Edges can touch Plano ISD or Lovejoy ISD. Verify.
- Transit: A car is required.
- 2026 sale picture: 75002 closings have often sat near the low-to-mid $400,000s. 75013 often runs the mid-$600,000s to around $700,000. Planning ranges, not your list price.
